We offer the following procedures. Please click on the particular procedure you desire to learn more about.
If you have been told that you have a cataract, this means that all or part of your natural human lens has become cloudy. Commonly, people complain of increasing glare (especially driving at night), a rapidly shifting glasses prescription and deteriorating vision
ICL is a new form of “additive” technology where a specially designed lens is made for you and inserted in front of the human lens but behind the iris. This gives excellent vision without reshaping the cornea and is ideal for most patients.”
Laser eye surgery is the use of an excimer laser to reshape the cornea with extreme precision to focus the light sharply on to the retina. Depending on the level of the prescription, it can be used to treat myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.
The human eye consists of a number of important structures required for clear vision. In a healthy eye, the main components of focusing light are the cornea and the lens, which focus light onto the retina at the back of the eye.
Keratoconus is a corneal ectasia. This means that the structure of the cornea is weaker than in an unaffected eye, which results in the cornea warping, thinning and bulging forward. Imagine that the normal cornea is like a soccer ball; in keratoconus
The cornea is the clear window at the front of the eye and is responsible for over 75% of the focusing power of the eye. Thus any damage or disease of the cornea can dramatically affect vision.
