Presenting at the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress 2026

Location: Hong Kong

It was indeed an honor for me to speak at the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress held in Hong Kong where I got to interact with colleagues and peers who are committed to advancing ophthalmic care as myself.

The best part about attending conferences and learning from ophthalmologists who are leaders in their field of study and hearing their insights on complicated surgeries performed is something I have always enjoyed. The importance of sharing surgical techniques, decision-making processes and practical insights gained from experience became quite clear in discussions concerning cataract surgery in patients with challenging corneal conditions.

These conversations are a powerful reminder that the field of medicine is ever evolving. We can learn from the experts who handle some of the most complex corneal and cataract cases globally and then bring new knowledge and refined techniques back to our own practices, ultimately improving outcomes for all our patients.

It is indeed a pleasure being able to take part in such valuable discussions and share my knowledge with other esteemed professionals while collaborating with such a distinguished international community of ophthalmologists. Events such as these underscore the need for continuous education and innovation, as well as the necessity of working together globally, in providing the best possible patient care.
